About the Trip
Egypt: Cruising the Nile & Red Sea – 9 Days / 8 Nights
Walk through pharaohs’ tombs, sail past riverside temples on the Nile and wind down on the Red Sea – all in one community-style group trip. This 9-day Egypt itinerary connects Cairo, Giza, Aswan, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Luxor and Hurghada, with a mix of city hotels, a classic Nile cruise and a Red Sea resort stay.
You don’t have to worry about logistics, safety or figuring things out in a new country – your Trip Leader and local Egyptian guides handle routes, tickets and day plans while you focus on soaking in pyramids, temples, bazaars and corals.
Trip FAQs
1. How many travellers will be in the group?
We keep the batch intimate at around 15–18 travellers, so you get a community vibe without feeling lost in a huge crowd.
2. What fitness level is needed for this Egypt trip?
Expect moderate activity – around 3–4 active hours most sightseeing days. There will be walking in the sun, steps at temples and some uneven surfaces, but no trekking or technical activity.
3. How is connectivity during the trip?
Most hotels and the Nile cruise offer WiFi in common areas / rooms. You can also pick up a local SIM on arrival with help from the Trip Leader for better data on the move.
4. How do payments work on-ground – cash or card?
Cards are accepted at many hotels, bigger restaurants and shops. For markets, tips, small snacks and local vendors, keep some small cash in Egyptian Pounds. A mix of card, cash and a Forex card works best.
5. What is the rooming arrangement?
The default is twin sharing in hotels. If you’re travelling solo, we pair you with another same-gender traveller. You can opt for a private room upgrade for the full trip at an additional cost.
