Day 1: Shimla → Kalpa (Gateway to the Himalayas)
- Early morning arrival in Shimla, followed by breakfast and freshening up.
- The real mountain drive begins as we pass through Kufri and Narkanda, joining the legendary Indo–Tibetan Highway.
- Soon after, we cross Kinnaur Gate, officially entering one of Himachal’s most scenic regions.
- The road hugs the Sutlej River, with changing landscapes — pine forests slowly giving way to stark mountains.
- By evening, we reach Kalpa, a quiet village overlooking the majestic Kinner Kailash range.
- Check in, unwind, enjoy dinner, and soak in your first proper mountain night.

Day 2: Kalpa → Sangla → Kalpa (Holi in the Mountains)
- After breakfast, we head to the beautiful Sangla Valley — green meadows, wooden houses, and snow-capped peaks all around.
- Today is special. We will celebrate Holi with locals and fellow travellers, colours, laughter, music, and a sense of togetherness that feels very different up here in the mountains.
- After the celebrations, we drive back to Kalpa by evening.

Day 3: Kalpa → Tabo via Nako (Entering Spiti Valley)
- Post breakfast, we check out and begin our journey towards Spiti Valley.
- The drive includes the famous Ka Loops, offering dramatic hairpin bends and stunning views.
- We stop at Nako Village and Nako Lake, a peaceful high-altitude settlement that feels like a pause button.
- As we move deeper into Spiti, the landscape becomes raw, vast, and surreal.
- By evening, we reach Tabo, home to the ancient Tabo Monastery (over 1,000 years old).
- If time permits, we will visit the monastery and explore the village.

Day 4: Tabo → Dhankar → Key Monastery → Chicham Bridge → Kaza
- After breakfast, we will set out for a day packed with Spiti’s most iconic sights.
- We begin with Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff between the Spiti and Pin rivers.
- Next, we visit the famous Key (Ki) Monastery, the spiritual heart of Spiti Valley.
- We then cross the Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge, a thrilling moment and a must-stop for photos.
- By evening, we reach Kaza, Spiti’s main town.

Day 5: Hikkim – Komik – Langza (Entering Spiti Valley)
- Overnight in Kaza
- Today is all about exploring Spiti’s legendary high-altitude villages.
- We visit: 1.Hikkim – home to the world’s highest post office; 2.Komik – one of the highest motorable villages with a café; 3.Langza – known for its giant Buddha statue and fossil-rich landscape
- Expect wide open spaces, prayer flags, and views that make you feel incredibly small, in the best way
- We return to Kaza by evening.
- Dinner and a relaxed night with the group.

Day 6: Kaza → Chitkul (From Cold Desert to Green Valleys)
- After an early breakfast, we check out and begin the long but stunning drive back towards Kinnaur Valley.
- The route takes us through Nako, Pooh, and Sangla Valley, with landscapes slowly turning greener again.
- By evening, we reach Chitkul, India’s last inhabited village near the Indo–China border.
- Fresh air, wooden houses, and complete calm.
- Dinner & overnight stay in Chitkul / Rakchham
- Note: Distance: ~250 km | Time: 9–10 hours
Day 7: Chitkul → Shimla → Delhi (Journey Back)
- After breakfast, we check out and start our drive towards Shimla (approx. 10–11 hours).
- From Shimla, we board an overnight Volvo back to Delhi, tired, quiet, and full of memories.

Day 8: Arrival in Delhi
- Early morning arrival in Delhi.
- The trip ends, but the colours of Holi, the silence of Spiti and the friendships made along the way stay with you long after.
