Day 0: Departure From Delhi/chandigarh - The Journey To The Mountains Begins

  • Meet your Trip Captain and your fellow riders at the designated pick-up point, where introductions, laughter, and travel buzz set the tone for the journey ahead.
  • Soon after, settle into a comfortable overnight bus bound for Manali.
  • Along the way, enjoy classic highway pit stops at lively dhabas for garma-garam chai and delicious North Indian snacks, fueling both your body and your travel spirit.
  • Share stories, make new friends, and let the anticipation build as the city lights fade behind you.
  • As the night rolls on, catch some well-earned sleep, because by morning, Manali welcomes you, and the road to unforgettable mountain memories is just getting started.

Day 1: Arrival in Manali

  • Arrive in Manali as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the Himalayan peaks and head straight to your cozy pahad-style hotel.
  • Settle in with a cup of garma-garam chai, freshen up, and recharge your energy as the adventure is only just beginning.
  • Begin your local sightseeing with a visit to the Hidimba Devi Temple, beautifully set amidst tall deodar forests, followed by a short and refreshing hike to Jogni Waterfall where you can enjoy the cool mist and peaceful surroundings.
  • Later, relax and rejuvenate in the natural hot springs of Vashisht, letting the warm waters ease away travel fatigue.
  • In the evening, return to the hotel for an important briefing by your Trip Captain, covering bike inspections, route details, safety guidelines, and essential tips for riding in high-altitude terrain.
  • Wrap up the day with proper rest, as the thrilling road journey through the mountains begins the next morning.

Day 2: Ride From Manali to Sarchu

  • Begin your journey with a scenic transfer from Manali to Sarchu aboard a comfortable tempo traveller, settling into your window seat as the adventure unfolds.
  • Drive through the iconic Atal Tunnel and emerge into the dramatic landscapes of the Lahaul Valley, with the Chandra River flowing alongside the road.
  • En route, enjoy picturesque pit stops at Keylong, a quaint town surrounded by snow-capped peaks, followed by the remote and surreal terrains of Darcha and Patsio.
  • Pause at Zingzing Bar for a comforting cup of hot chai before continuing to the stunning Suraj Tal, a pristine high-altitude lake.
  • The journey reaches its highlight as you cross the legendary Baralacha-La Pass at 4,892 meters, where the thrill of high-altitude travel and breathtaking views make for an unforgettable experience.
  • Arrive at Sarchu, the gateway to Ladakh, and unwind in cozy tented accommodations.
  • End the day with a warm meal and shared stories beneath a star-filled sky, before settling in for an overnight stay in Sarchu.

Day 3: Sarchu to Leh

  • Begin your day by waking up to the crisp mountain air, enjoying a power-packed breakfast, and gearing up for an unforgettable ride through the heart of Ladakh.
  • The journey kicks off with the iconic Gata Loops at 4,669 meters, where 21 sharp hairpin bends put both your riding skills and endurance to the test.
  • From here, ride on to conquer the high-altitude passes of Nakee-La (4,738 m) and Lachung- La (5,065 m), surrounded by Ladakh’s stark, awe-inspiring landscapes.
  • After soaking in the views, stop for a hot, comforting meal at Pang before heading into the thrilling Moore Plains, a 50 km stretch of vast, open roads that invite a smooth and exhilarating ride.
  • The adventure continues as you cross Tanglang-La (5,328 m), the highest pass on this route, known for its icy winds and panoramic vistas.
  • The final stretch takes you through the charming villages of Upshi and Karu, gradually leading you into Leh.
  • Upon arrival, check in, relax, and enjoy a well-earned meal, celebrating the successful completion of an epic ride.
  • Overnight stay will be in Leh, as you prepare yourself for the incredible Ladakh adventure that lies ahead.

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley Via Khardung La

  • Wake up to a calm and refreshing morning in Leh, enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel, and gear up for an action-packed day ahead.
  • Before leaving the city, make a brief stop at the serene Shanti Stupa, where panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains set the perfect tone for the journey.
  • From here, begin the exhilarating climb to Khardung-La (5,359 m), one of the highest motorable passes in the world, riding through winding roads, steep ascents, and snow- lined stretches that deliver a true adrenaline rush.
  • As you descend, watch the landscape transform dramatically into the enchanting Nubra Valley, with wide-open plains, patches of greenery, and the Shyok River flowing gracefully alongside.
  • Continue to Diskit Monastery, famed for its majestic 106-foot Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley, offering both spiritual calm and breathtaking views of the region.
  • The day concludes at Hunder, the cold desert of Ladakh, known for its rolling sand dunes and rare double-humped Bactrian camels.
  • Spend your evening enjoying the desert scenery, catching a magical sunset, or opting for activities like a short camel safari or ATV rides.
  • End the day with an overnight stay in Nubra Valley, resting beneath a star-filled sky and surrounded by Ladakh’s raw, untouched beauty.

Day 5: Nubra Valley To Pangong Tso

  • Set off on a stunning ride through the remote villages of Agam and Shyok, where winding roads cut through dramatic mountain terrain and untouched landscapes define the journey.
  • As you draw closer to Pangong Tso at an altitude of 4,300 meters, the first glimpse of the lake is nothing short of magical, its vast expanse of water shimmering in countless shades of blue against stark, barren mountains.
  • Upon arrival, check in at your campsite near the lake and take time to relax, soak in the views, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
  • As evening sets in, relish a warm and satisfying dinner at the camp before ending the day under a brilliant, star-filled Ladakhi sky.
  • Drift off to sleep near Pangong Lake, accompanied by the gentle calm of nature, for an unforgettable overnight stay in this surreal high-altitude paradise.

Day 6: Pangong To Hanle Via Chushul – Rezang La – Migla Pass

  • Wake up to a golden sunrise over Pangong Lake, take in the calm morning hues, and enjoy a hearty breakfast before gearing up for another unforgettable ride.
  • The journey takes you through rugged, lesser-traveled terrain as you ride towards Chushul, a high-altitude settlement near the Indo-China border known for its strategic significance.
  • En route, stop at the Rezang La War Memorial to pay tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1962 Indo-China War, adding a moment of reflection to the adventure.
  • Continue the journey by crossing the high-altitude Migla Pass (Mig La), known for its raw terrain and untouched Himalayan landscapes.
  • Enjoy breathtaking views of the vast Changthang region along the way.
  • Continue the ride by crossing the Loma Bridge over the Indus River, surrounded by vast, untouched Ladakhi landscapes that stretch endlessly in every direction.
  • By evening, arrive in the remote village of Hanle, famed for hosting one of the world’s highest astronomical observatories.
  • Enjoy an overnight stay in Hanle, savor a warm, home-cooked Ladakhi dinner, and end the day unwinding beneath an incredibly clear, star-filled sky.
  • Note: Migla Pass is a newly discovered route, and visiting this pass is completely subject to availability, weather conditions, and permission from local authorities.

Day 7: The Ultimate Ride to Umling La

  • Wake up to the most exhilarating day of your journey as you set out to conquer Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world.
  • Kickstart your ride through Ladakh’s raw and remote landscapes, crossing the mighty Photi La at 5,524 meters, where the terrain grows tougher, the air thinner, and the adventure far more intense, remember to ride steady and stay well hydrated.
  • As you gain altitude, pause to soak in sweeping 360-degree views of endless mountains and vast open skies, capturing moments that truly define this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  • Reaching the summit of Umling La at an incredible 5,640 meters is a moment of pure achievement, standing higher than Everest Base Camp and marking one of the proudest milestones of the journey.
  • After taking it all in, begin your descent, riding past Nurbu La at 5,282 meters before making your way back to Hanle.
  • The evening is yours to unwind.
  • Reflect on the incredible feat you’ve just accomplished, enjoy the serenity of the region, and gaze up at one of the clearest night skies in Ladakh.
  • Settle in for an overnight stay at your Hanle homestay, resting and recharging for the next leg of your adventure.

Day 8: Hanle To Tso Moriri Via Kyagar Tso

  • Post breakfast in the morning, get ready to explore another stunning high-altitude lake.
  • Hit the roads to enjoy your ride to picturesque Tsomoriri Lake - a high-altitude lake with blue waters, home to many migratory birds and rare flora and fauna.
  • On the way, we will cross the Lomoa Bridge on the Indus River and turn left towards Mahe.
  • From Mahe, we will take another left and take a short stop at Kyagar Tso - a scenic high- altitude lake.
  • Continue the journey to Tso Moriri - India's highest and largest saltwater lake and lies at an elevation of 4,522 metres (14,836 feet).
  • Spend some quality time at the lake & witness the changing hues of the lake and fall in love with nature all over again.
  • Later, reach your stay and enjoy a delicious dinner.
  • Overnight stay in Tso Moriri

Day 9: Tso Moriri To Sarchu Via Puga Valley

  • Wake up to the beautiful views of Tso Moriri in the morning and have your breakfast.
  • Get ready for an adventurous journey as we make our way to Sarchu.
  • On the way, we will stop to explore the Puga Valley, home to several hot springs and mud pools, and known as a hub for generating geothermal energy.
  • Continue the journey, until we reach Tso Kar for another quick stop.
  • Here, we will witness the unique white landscape of salt deposit that is left behind by the saline water on the shores of the lake.
  • After riding further we will reach the Manali-Leh road.
  • On the way we will pass some major high-altitude passes like the Lachung-La (5065 m) and Nakee-La (4738 m).
  • We will also soak in the stunning landscape at the famous Moore Plains, a straight and flattened road stretching over 40 km.
  • Before reaching Sarchu, we will also pass the treacherous Gata Loops that feature 21 hairpin bends at an elevation of 4669m.
  • Reach Sarchu by evening, check-in to your camps and have your dinner.
  • Overnight stay in Sarchu.

Day 10: Sarchu To Manali Via Atal Tunnel

  • Post breakfast in the morning, get ready for the day.
  • Today, we will board our transfers to Manali via Atal Tunnel.
  • On the way, we will take a quick stop at the iconic Baralacha La located at an altitude of 4850m.
  • Then, we will pass the scenic Suraj Taal and Deepak Taal Lakes.
  • Further, we will pass the picturesque towns of Darcha, Jispa, Keylong and Sissu until we reach the Atal Tunnel.
  • After crossing the Atal Tunnel, pass through the Solang Valley - a hub for adventure activities to reach Manali.
  • Upon reaching Manali, head to the Manali bus stop to board your bus to Delhi.
  • Overnight bus journey to Delhi.

Day 11: Back to Delhi

  • After a long journey, you’ll arrive in Delhi by morning, marking the end of this incredible Ladakh adventure.
  • As you step off the bus, take a moment to let it all sink in, the winding mountain roads, the serene lakes, the thrill of conquering high passes, and the endless laughter with fellow riders.

The 11D Ladakh bike trip with Manali, Sarchu, Leh, Nubra, Umling La and Tso Moriri is the ultimate high-altitude motorcycle expedition across the Himalayas. Starting and ending in Delhi, this journey covers the most legendary routes of Himachal and Ladakh, including Atal Tunnel, Baralacha La, Khardung La, Pangong Tso, Hanle and the world’s highest motorable road — Umling La.

Designed for serious adventure seekers, this trip blends extreme riding conditions, remote landscapes, high-altitude lakes, historic war memorials and unmatched Himalayan scenery. From the cold deserts of Nubra to the untouched beauty of Changthang and Tso Moriri, every day pushes boundaries and delivers unforgettable experiences.

Important Notes

  • Your Ladakh journey doesn’t just leave you with memories, it leaves a mark. As part of this trip, 1% of the total revenue is donated to a local school in Turtuk, a remote village near the Indo-Pakistan border.
  • Travellers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/flights reaching Delhi not later than 2 PM on the trip start date. Similarly, on trip end date, book returning flight/trains leaving post 4 PM.
  • Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.
  • The age limit of our group departures is 16 to 42 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.
  • This itinerary covers some of the most popular tourist destinations in the region and ensures that you have ample time to explore each place at your own pace.
  • Extra mattress will be provided for triple sharing occupancy.
  • You will be travelling to High Altitude cold desert places of India. It's advisable to consult your personal doctors for any sort of medical awareness before travelling. There are very few medical facilities/hospitals available at such remote locations and we shall not be responsible for any such of Medical emergency thus occurred. However any kind of support with respect to arranging logistics will be arranged if required and the expenses shall be borne by the clients. Please consult your personal doctor and we advise you to be physically fit and healthy before travelling. Do mention any sort of prior health issues before travelling so that we can advise you correctly.
  • ₹10,000/- needs to be submitted as security for the bike before the start of the trip. Any damage to the bike, except engine damage, has to be borne directly by the client.
