Day 1: Arrival in Moscow
- Welcome to Russia! Upon your arrival in Moscow, meet our team at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
- We'll assist you with currency exchange and a quick city briefing to help you get familiar with the journey ahead.
- As the city lights up, head out for an evening walking tour through the heart of Moscow
- Explore the iconic Red Square, stroll along the beautifully illuminated Nikolskaya Street, and experience the grandeur of Moscow's UNESCO- listed metro stations, often referred to as underground palaces.
Day 2: EXPLORE MOSCOW
- After breakfast, discover the highlights of Russia's vibrant capital.
- Visit the historic Red Square, walk through Manezh Square, and enjoy panoramic views from the Sky Bridge.
- Continue to the magnificent Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, one of Moscow's most iconic landmarks.
- Travel back through the famous Soviet-era metro, admired for its stunning architecture and intricate artwork.
Day 3: Fly to Murmansk & Northern Lights Adventure
- After breakfast, board your flight to Murmansk, the gateway to the Arctic.
- Check in to your hotel and spend some time relaxing before the evening's adventure.
- Tonight, head out on your first Northern Lights hunting experience (optional) with an experienced guide and professional photographer, increasing your chances of witnessing the magical Aurora Borealis.
Day 4: SAMI VILLAGE EXPERIENCE & MURMANSK CITY TOUR
- Today, you have the option to visit a traditional Sami Village and experience the unique culture of the indigenous Sami people
- Meet the locals, learn about their traditions, enjoy traditional Sami tea and soup, interact with friendly reindeer, cuddle adorable huskies, and experience a short reindeer sleigh ride.
- You can also dress up in traditional Sami attire for memorable photos.
- Later, explore Murmansk on a guided city tour before returning to the hotel.
Day 5: Arctic Ocean & Glass Igloo Stay
- Get ready for one of the most exciting days of the trip
- For thrill-seekers, take an optional Arctic Plunge into the icy waters of the Arctic Ocean or enjoy an optional snowmobile adventure (subject to snowfall conditions)
- Later, check into your unique Glass Igloo accommodation (4 guests per igloo).
- If luck is on your side, you may witness the magical Northern Lights dancing across the sky, right from the comfort of your bed.
Day 6: COTTAGE STAY & OPTIONAL TERIBERKA EXCURSION
- After breakfast, transfer to your cozy wooden cottage (3 guests per cottage) or hotel, depending on availability.
- You may choose to join an optional excursion to Teriberka, a picturesque Arctic coastal village made famous by the film Leviathan.
- The tour is completely dependent on road and weather conditions, as heavy snowfall may occasionally lead to road closures. Final confirmation is made one day prior
Day 7: Fly to St. Petersburg
- Today, you have the option to fly to St. Petersburg, Russia's cultural capital.
- Check in to your centrally located hotel and spend the evening exploring the city at your own pace or attend an optional Russian Ballet or Classical Concert for an unforgettable cultural experience.

Day 8: DISCOVER ST. PETERSBURG
- Spend the day exploring the architectural and cultural gems of St. Petersburg.
- Visit the historic Peter & Paul Fortress, the magnificent Kazan Cathedral, and the world-renowned Hermitage Museum. Stop for photographs at the colourful Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood and the majestic St. Isaac's Cathedral.
- As night falls, experience St. Petersburg's lively nightlife with visits to some of the city's best bars and clubs
Day 9: RETURN TO MOSCOW & DEPARTURE
- Board the high-speed train back to Moscow, enjoying one final scenic journey through Russia.
- Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Delhi, carrying unforgettable memories of Arctic adventures, historic cities, and the magical Northern Lights

- Current international airfare is as low as INR 55,000 for the air tickets so if you are planning to book this trip then we would recommend you to book your international flights first & the domestic air tickets are around 22,000 rubles if you plan early. (Please let us book your domestic flights, as these routes can be difficult to book independently due to local airline systems, payment methods, and schedule coordination.)
- While we’ll chase the Aurora with full effort, sightings of Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and not guaranteed. The skies need to align for that magic to happen!
- Food in Russia can be quite different, especially for Indian travelers. Whether you’re vegetarian or non-vegetarian, we recommend carrying some ready-to-eat or ready-to-cook food from home.
- The remaining trip payment must be made on time. Delays will be treated as cancellations and your spot may be released
- Travel insurance is not included in the package. But we strongly recommend you to get one
- The initial booking amount is non-refundable. Please confirm only if you’re sure about the trip
- Domestic flight bookings in Russia can only be done if your international card supports it, please check in advance.
- A Desh Videsh trip leader cum your friend will accompany the group, during city tours. Aurora hunts local tour guide will also be provided but not on personal leisure days.
- Our group size will be around 16 people, so expect a friendly, community vibe
- Tipping is already covered you don’t need to pay anything extra to guides or drivers during the trip.
- If you want to do something extra beyond the planned itinerary, we’re happy to assist! One amazing add-on is the Teriberka Arctic Day Tour it’s subject to weather and road conditions, but if things are good, we highly recommend it!
