Important Notes
- Access to high-altitude regions of Spiti Valley, especially Hikkim, Komic, Langza Village and Pin Valley, may be restricted during the winter months due to heavy snowfall. Visits to these locations are completely weather-dependent. In such cases, the best possible alternate sightseeing will be arranged.
- In the event of heavy snowfall or any other natural calamity resulting in road closures for heavy vehicles, travellers may be required to hire local 4x4 vehicles to continue the journey. The cost of such arrangements will be borne by the travellers.
- Travellers arriving from outside Delhi are advised to book their onward train/flight reaching Delhi before 4:00 PM on the trip start date. On the return day, flights/trains should be booked after 2:00 PM.
- Weather conditions, road closures, government restrictions, and the physical condition of participants may require changes to the itinerary. The Tour Leader reserves the right to modify the schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and the overall travel experience.
- This group departure is recommended for travellers between 18 and 40 years of age due to the nature of the itinerary. Travellers outside this age group may opt for a customized trip.
- Due to extreme winter conditions in Spiti Valley, attached/private washrooms are subject to availability. At certain locations, water pipelines and washroom facilities may freeze, making attached washrooms temporarily unusable. In such cases, common washrooms will be provided wherever available
- Running water may not be available at all times due to freezing temperatures. Guests are requested to cooperate with the hotel/homestay staff, as these conditions are beyond anyone's control.
- Room heaters are not included in the package cost. Heater charges, wherever available, are payable directly at the property and are subject to availability.
- Mobile network connectivity is limited in Spiti Valley. BSNL and Jio offer the best coverage in some areas, though signal availability cannot be guaranteed.
- Carry sufficient cash before entering Spiti Valley, as ATM availability is limited and digital payment services may not work due to poor network connectivity.
- Participants are advised to carry valid Government-issued Photo ID proof throughout the trip.
About the Trip

Snow-covered mountains, frozen rivers, ancient monasteries, and peaceful villages create a magical landscape that feels untouched by time. If you're looking for an adventure beyond the ordinary, this Winter Spiti Valley Tour Package 7 Nights 8 Days offers the perfect opportunity to witness the raw beauty of the Himalayas during December.
Designed for adventure seekers, photographers, solo travellers, and nature lovers, this winter expedition takes you through some of the most spectacular destinations in Himachal Pradesh. From the charming villages of Chitkul and Kalpa to the spiritual monasteries of Tabo and Key, every day brings new experiences, stunning scenery, and unforgettable memories
Why Choose a Winter Spiti Valley Tour?
Unlike the summer season, winter offers a completely different side of Spiti Valley. The barren mountains transform into snow-covered landscapes, frozen lakes sparkle under the clear blue sky, and the valleys become peaceful with fewer tourists around. Travelling during December allows you to experience the region in its most authentic form while enjoying breathtaking views that are impossible to witness during other seasons.
The journey itself is an adventure. As you travel through the scenic Kinnaur Valley alongside the Sutlej River, you'll pass dramatic cliffs, picturesque villages, and winding mountain roads before entering the enchanting world of Spiti. Every turn offers panoramic Himalayan views that make the long drive worthwhile
Discover the Ancient Culture of Spiti Valley
Beyond its incredible landscapes, Spiti Valley is home to one of the richest Buddhist cultures in India. During this expedition, you'll visit some of the oldest monasteries in the Himalayas, each preserving centuries of history, spirituality, and traditional architecture.
The thousand-year-old Tabo Monastery stands as one of the oldest continuously functioning Buddhist monasteries in the world. Built in 996 AD, it is often called the "Ajanta of the Himalayas" because of its ancient murals and priceless heritage.
Another highlight is the spectacular Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the meeting point of the Spiti and Pin Rivers. The peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views make it one of the most memorable stops on the journey.
No visit to Spiti is complete without exploring the iconic Key Monastery. Sitting high above the valley, this centuries-old monastery offers panoramic views of the snow-covered mountains while providing visitors with a glimpse into the daily lives of Buddhist monks.
Visit the Highest Villages in the World
One of the biggest attractions of this Winter Spiti Valley Package is the opportunity to explore some of the world's highest inhabited villages.
Hikkim is famous for housing the world's highest post office, where travellers can send postcards from one of the most unique postal locations on Earth. Nearby, Komic welcomes visitors with its peaceful surroundings and status as one of the world's highest motorable villages.
Langza Village is equally fascinating. Surrounded by towering snow-covered peaks, the village is famous for its enormous Buddha statue overlooking the valley and its ancient marine fossils that date back millions of years. During winter, Langza becomes one of the most photogenic destinations in the entire Himalayas.
Witness the Adventure Beyond the Mountains
This expedition isn't just about sightseeing; it's about experiencing the thrill of travelling through one of India's most remote regions during winter. The drive itself is filled with adventure as you cross mountain passes, frozen landscapes, suspension bridges, and scenic valleys that few travellers get to witness.
One of the major highlights is the famous Chicham Bridge, one of Asia's highest suspension bridges. Suspended over a deep gorge, it offers spectacular views and an unforgettable experience for every traveller.
The journey also includes a visit to Kalpa, a beautiful Himalayan village overlooking the majestic Kinner Kailash Range. Its snow-covered landscapes, traditional wooden houses, and peaceful atmosphere provide the perfect ending to an incredible winter expedition before returning to Delhi
Comfortable Travel with Authentic Himalayan Stays
Although Spiti is known for its rugged terrain and extreme winter conditions, this itinerary is carefully designed to provide a comfortable travel experience. You'll stay in a combination of hotels and authentic Himalayan homestays that allow you to experience the warmth and hospitality of the local people.
Daily breakfast and dinner, comfortable transportation, experienced trip captains, inner-line permits, and emergency oxygen support are included to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey. Every aspect of the trip is planned to let you focus on enjoying the adventure while experienced professionals handle the logistics.
A Winter Adventure Unlike Any Other
Travelling through Spiti Valley during December is unlike visiting any other destination in India. Every morning begins with breathtaking snow-covered landscapes, every road leads to another hidden Himalayan village, and every stop introduces you to a unique blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty.
From witnessing ancient monasteries standing strong against harsh winters to walking through villages blanketed in fresh snow, this journey offers experiences that remain unforgettable long after the trip ends.
Whether you're planning your first Himalayan expedition or returning to explore Spiti in a completely different season, this Winter Spiti Valley Tour Package promises an adventure filled with stunning landscapes, cultural discoveries, thrilling road journeys, and memories that will last a lifetime.
